The module is based on the principles of the SEO Hreflang Engine — a technology for linking language versions of pages that forms precise matches between locales. This helps search engines offer the user a relevant regional version of the site, eliminates internal competition of duplicates, and ensures the correct display of pages in international search results.

XML generation is performed in strict accordance with the basic Sitemap 0.9 protocol of the sitemaps.org search engine consortium. Additionally, the official Image Sitemap Extension from Google is implemented, which includes product images in the sitemap, significantly simplifying their indexing. The link building algorithm generates canonical Full SEO Paths that strictly correspond to the category hierarchy (breadcrumbs) on the storefront.

Priority coefficient configuration establishes a structural hierarchy of the website for search engines, indicating the relative importance of different sections. Setting maximum priority for the home page and high priority for categories marks them as key navigation nodes through which robots discover content changes faster. Using identical values for all sections deprives the search engine of landmarks and leads to irrational spending of the crawl budget. Differentiation of priority values allows focusing robot resources on commercially significant sections, excluding their inefficient use on rarely updated service content. This search engine attention management strategy is critical for the timely indexing of new products and updating data in international search results.

Sitemap generation occurs dynamically in the server's RAM at the moment of accessing the URL. Avoiding the creation of intermediate XML files and excluding disk write operations allows the document to be formed almost instantly. This approach guarantees that the map always contains up-to-date data on products and categories, while the load on the server remains minimal even in stores with an assortment of thousands of items.
